Chapter 1: A Mystery
As I was going down the path that lead to the house down at the other side, I saw two best friends playing catch with a football. They were having fun, it seems. Today I felt nervous. I went to visit my good pals, Mordecai and Rigby. I hadn’t seen them in a while ever since we apart... The reason? That, my friend, is classified. Right now, I was hiding behind a tree, watching their game of catch, smiling mischeiviously.
“Dude, I’m open! I’m open!” Rigby said with a laugh, as he waved both his arms wide open.
“Go long, dude.” Mordecai called out as he held the ball.
Mordecai hurled the ball fast. And suddenly, it was coming for me. Rigby missed catching it. So I had to go get it. Unfortunately, I caught it but it got me hard. “Oww!” I yelped with a wince off-screen.
The cry was loud enough for Mordecai and Rigby to notice. They were confused.
“Did you hear that?” Mordecai asked.
“Yeah… It sounded like it was coming from behind that tree.” Rigby answered.
Oh snap – they were onto me! I had to go fast. After my long-time-disappearance, I figured it would’ve been a bad idea to visit them. They might’ve been upset because I didn’t let them know how long I was gone. Well, I dropped the ball and made a run for it. I quickly ran past by both of them when they weren’t looking. But when I took off, they both felt a cold wind when I went by, having them turn around.
“Hey! What was that!?” Rigby panicked.
“What was what?” Mordecai repeated.
“I-I don’t want to be outside anymore. Something’s creeping me out.” Rigby shivered.
“We have to go check and see what it is.” Mordecai suggested.
“No way, man. You go. I’ll stay here, where it’s safe.” Rigby declared.
“I think I saw it go behind the back porch. Stay here.”
“Yeah, you go do that.”

I heard footsteps coming and I was on the roof. Again, I was hiding. As I was being sneaky, Mordecai was below of me, scratching the back of his head, looking confused. I wasn’t to be seen in his sight. Since I wasn’t anywhere, Mordecai shrugged his arms to himself and went back around back where Rigby was.
Mordecai shrugged his arms. “Looks like I was hearing things. I didn’t see anything.”
Rigby squinted his eyes. “You didn’t look enough.”
“Lets go inside and just do something else. We can play catch again later.”
“Um… yeah, sure.” Rigby agreed.
